I can’t believe this little one is already…. ONE! And, yeah, a smile this big — and a baby’s belly laugh –really *is* contagious.

Is there anything cuter than a baby with her teddy bear??

I had a great time — and thanks for a squirrel story that I may never, ever forget!
Happy birthday, little one. You are too sweet for words!

I love working with high school seniors. The conversation is always fun, and it’s exciting to hear about each kid’s plans for the future. H is planning on studying photography! You *know* we had a lot to talk about! Beyond that, she’s striking, gorgeous and a great kid!

Senior sessions really give us an opportunity to try out a alternative processing — two things I adore! I love looking at an image and deciding what treatment will really work well.

… all the while, still capturing something more traditional:

Thanks so much, H! I hope you had as much fun as I did!

These kids make me laugh every.single.year. So, I always look forward to seeing them! But this year, I was even happier to see that little brother L was finally glad to see me! He’s reached an age where he was really into the session, at least MOST of the time!

And look how happy he is to be with big brother!

Big brother took his turn…. and then big sister was ready for the spotlight….

But.. wait. Big brother misses having the focus on him!

Even our furry friends had a good time (well, they had a good time after we coaxed them into staying very still!)
Thanks again for a fun time K family! See you next year!

Those of you on facebook fans (join us!) saw the before & afters from these siblings. I still can’t believe how much they’ve changed since I last photographed them! H & M are now in high school, and their younger brother will be there soon!

I love this one of these two beautiful sisters:

And, yes, we did get a few group shots…. but I think this one is a keeper!!!

PS… I had just suggested that maybe their brother wanted a big kiss! ha ha ha ha!
Thanks for a fun session!

When I arrived, I saw two sets of hazel eyes staring out at me from behind the front door. “She’s heeeeere!!!” LOL! I had heard from mom that her youngest wasn’t so sure he wanted a photoshoot. But big brother stepped in and said “Don’t worry, little buddy. I’ll help you!” And what a help he was! Not only did big brother help his little brother feel comfortable, he helped me pick out locations to take photos! (…and he was pretty spot on. I think I’ve found my new assistant!)

Thank you A family! And a big thanks to big brother for all the assistance… I heard you whisper to your little brother “Ok, buddy… she’s going to take three pictures right here, then we’ll go to the next place…” What a sweetheart. And thank to to little brother, who didn’t complain once as we moved him around the yard!

New Englanders love their beaches — and we are grateful for every beach weekend we have in our short summer season. Early evening beach sessions give us gorgeous light, and you can see how the soft light hitting the sand, sky and ocean really lit up their gorgeous eyes. (Mom and Dad both have the blue-est eyes too!)

These brothers are such mellow — yet fun — kids. I would do anything for big brother’s hair color. And as for little brother? Don’t let the Mohawk fool you. This guy is such a sweetie!

I let the brothers know it was okay to have a little fun. We were at the beach after all!

I love this one — too often mom & dad don’t want to be in the photos, but these two started a trend. After this hit facebook, I started getting requests for “just one of me and my hubby if that is okay?” Absolutely! I always remind clients — your kids will TREASURE not only the photos of themselves, but the ones of their parents. Think about it. Do you have a photo of your parents from when you were little? How priceless is it to you? Ok… jumping off the soapbox…

We grabbed one last shot before we left, as I spotted this sign right after my Mohawk-ed friend found a killer piece of beachwood. LMAO!

Thanks so much W family! I didn’t even mind it when that big wave hit me. Getting soaked is just part of the fun!

Oh, I know I say it all the time, but… how cute are these two? And with just a few tips, mom expertly coordinated their clothing. LOVE the blues & greens.
Aside: Yeah, you can tell exactly how far behind I am in blogging — this is an early summer session!

I have this thing with dogs… I’ve never owned one myself, but they are always drawn to me. A good friend of mine (who owns a couple of dogs) finds this to be hysterical. If I’m to be honest, I’m a little cautious around dogs. I love animals but you just never know what kind of temperment a dog will have when you first meet them. But I’ll walk into a house, and the dog is my instant best friend, following me around, wanting to hang out with me. I’ve met dogs who have barked at every last person who walks into a party, yet I walk in and the dog is calm. It’s so strange! So it was no surprise to me that this beautiful Portuguese Water Dog puppy was my new best friend. And look at this face!!!! I couldn’t resist grabbing a few shots — this is my favorite.

Thanks so much M family! It was a pleasure to photograph your family — and especially sweet to capture them in your gorgeous backyard! I *want* that stone wall for myself!

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a few Boston area Irish dancers. If you’ve never had the chance to see Irish dancers, I highly recommend it. It’s an amazing dance form — and photographing these kids is always a treat. The costumes are just gorgeous! Beyond that, the dedication, poise and skill these young dancers possess is something to see.

These two cuties were so excited to visit the duckling statues on Boston Common…

…and then the real ducks came to visit (um, and some pigeons… and a starling I think?)

…and if that wasn’t enough, we heard some commotion behind us and turned around to see that the majestic swans had chosen to make an appearance!

Soon we carried on with our shoot….

and finally (and now you can see how behind I am in blogging!) there was a special display for Memorial Day — thousands of flags. It was amazing and allowed us to capture this portrait with a true American feel

My new friend, “Cookie Monster”, invited me into his home to check out his trucks and meet his adorable baby sister. (the name seemed to fit better than Rumpelstilskin, the name I first chose when he declined to give me his name, LOL).

His sweet baby sister was ready to join us, so Cookie took a break so she could continue to slumber:

Thanks for entertaining me, Cookie. I know you’ll be the best big brother to your little sister!
